katherine + ben | cozy fall cromwell valley park engagement
/Katherine commented on Ben's bowtie and that started their first conversation — fast forward a few years to their fast approaching wedding day where Ben will be wearing another bowtie and looking as dapper as ever…
These lovebirds are continually laughing and sharing friendly competition with their favorite pro sports teams AND working out at the gym; “I've never laughed so genuinely in my life and love Ben's jokes (the good ones and the dumb ones). I love the times that Ben and I can spend working out as well as cooking/baking together - he makes life so fun. And - we both love that we often unintentionally end up wearing matching outfits!”
How’d the proposal happen?
“After attending 5+ weddings for friends and family in 2021, we decided we wanted some time away just to ourselves. We booked a trip to Savannah and arrived on a Thursday night. We woke up Friday, grabbed coffee, and walked around the streets of Savannah all morning. After a day of touring, we grabbed drinks at the hotel in the early evening and Ben proposed right on the riverfront.”
Cheers to you, Katherine and Ben! I can’t wait for you to host all of your friends and family for a fun, uniquely Baltimore wedding at the AVAM! And I love how Katherine is excited to “be spun around the dance floor by Ben (even though I'm awful at dancing) because I know we'll be laughing and beaming with smiles the whole time…”

christina + tony | a historic fells point engagement session
/Spending time together in Fells Point with a stylish and fun, beautiful, dog-loving couple on a crisp Fall evening by the water is what I dream about… honestly! There’s nowhere else I’d rather be, than documenting an incredibly inspiring love story with soulmates that are passionate about their relationship, excited for the start of their marriage and choose to live and love in Baltimore.
THE TOP 5 REASONS CHRISTINA + TONY’S FELLS POINT ENGAGEMENT SESSION WILL MAKE YOU SMILE:
Christina wore a flowing and full-length black floral Anthropologie dress for a moody, modern and romantic look at their waterfront session
Tony wore a solid burgundy sport coat paired with dark jeans for a crisp Fall look that was the perfect compliment to Christina’s dress and all the industrial character of Fells Point
They brought their shih tzu pup Marcel along for photos and he was spoiled with snuggles (just look at his face! how could you not squeeze him!? He’s the most adorable little ‘fluffball’ as my son called him when he saw these photos!)
Christina had a vision for the look to their engagement photos that I absolutely love: romantic and industrial chic with a touch of urban grit and texture, just like their wedding venue, The Winslow Room
These two simply exude love in every sense of the word! From a gentle touch to a loving glance, there is a comfort and confidence between them that is such a joy to document. Christina is simply one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and Tony compliments her in every way.
Here’s to celebrating this October AND next, at The Winslow Room… you both deserve all the love and happiness in the world and clearly celebrating over the course of one year isn’t enough! ;)

an unconventional + fun accelerator space wedding
/Inspired by a love of craft beer, The Avett Brothers and enjoying each other’s company while laughing wholeheartedly, Heather + Jordan’s Accelerator Space wedding was full of personal details, intimate moments, eclectic decor and an edgy, modern aesthetic that complimented their love story and personalities in every way… not to mention, making time to take photos at Baltimore’s best industrial spots!
Holding their wedding on Leap Day was just one of the ways these lovebirds designed a wedding that was totally unique, fun, memorable and full of photo ops everywhere you turned. February weddings are not for the faint of heart… H+J braved frigid 28 degree temperatures for not only their first look, but portraits with their wedding party in Clipper Mill; our hands were frozen and our cameras took their time focusing, but these cuties won so many awards in my book - you’d have no idea how cold we all were!
Jordan’s reaction when he saw Heather for the first time says it all…!!!
Heather + Jordan’s modern industrial yet intimate and romantic Accelerator Space wedding was the best way to kickoff 2020… enjoy these sneak peeks, some of my ABSOLUTE favorites from their winter wedding in Baltimore!
9 FUN FACTS + HIGHLIGHTS:
Jordan wore a maroon plaid sport coat paired with black converse and a black cap while Heather wore a blush fur stole to keep her warm with white converse that were embroidered with her new last name!
H+J got married on Leap Day, which happened to be the same anniversary as her grandparents.
They shared their first date at a local craft brewery in Baltimore and as a homebrewer, their signature drinks were 2 of their favorite local craft brews (Bells Two Hearted Ale + Union’s Duckpin) and their favors were pint glasses that said ‘Love is Brewing’, so fun!
The Otherside Creatives and Lynn C designed an escort card display inspired by their love of beer: individual mini glasses of beer with hand lettered table assignments and a 6’ black acrylic Avett brothers sign with their favorite lyrics…
To maximize dancing with their guests, there was nothing but open dance floor after the MOH and Best Man gave their speeches - no formal / first / parent dances
Zeffert & Gold created the most delicious dinner stations which meant minimal lines while guests went up to get their food and tons of tasty options: a street taco bar with allll the toppings and sauces, lamb + flank steak with mashed potatoes and mushroom ravioli and chicken in a creamy garlic sauce
Thurman & Fig collaborated with The Otherside Creatives to create a hanging dried floral installation for the ceremony which was EPIC. It was able to be repurposed to go above the photo station with the couch and fern wall after ceremony was done.
Who needs a photo booth when you can design a photo lounge for guests to use??
Heather’s bouquet was full of king protea, tulips, roses, eucalyptus, ranunculus and palm elements… texture, burgundy, blush and amazing smells!
