abby + mike | classically chic accelerator space wedding
/helllooooo, party people! I'm so excited to share Abby + Mike's wedding day with you (and I apologize for it being long overdue!), so we're just going to dive right in... :)
at our last accelerator space wedding of 2017 (see the first two here and here!), we had the absolute honor of capturing the love of an adoring and super sweet couple that has a tight-knit family and wanted to enjoy their day as a celebration of the love of those that got them to where they are today!
ps - there's one word that comes to mind for the neutral color dress Abby's sister / MOH chose and the bouquets that Radebaugh's provided: STUNNING!
what better way to enjoy everyone assembled comfortably in one space than with lots of natural light, industrial windows with views of a killer sunset and an outdoor patio with cafe lights hanging overhead! The Accelerator Space is different than any other Baltimore wedding venue you've seen before - a floor to ceiling metal panel wall, artifacts from its car dealership warehouse days, worn wood floors, multiple skylights, entry doors made out of salvaged industrial windows, the uniqueness factor goes on and on - it can comfortably hold 275 people inside for a seated dinner and 100 people outside on the enclosed patio for cocktails!
one of my favorite aspects of Abby + Mike’s relationship is that Mike’s dog Fran, is ultimately responsible for officially bringing them together forever after dating on and off after meeting at Towson University, their senior year… dog love stories are the best!! so we made sure to incorporate Fran in their engagement photos at Hampton Mansion to show off her important role!
when designing their wedding day, Abby wanted it to be as relaxing and stress-free as possible; she did just that by prioritizing many family-oriented aspects... they got ready at her sister Hannah's beautifully decorated home, asked only siblings to be in their bridal party and had a first look with her dad that truly made everyone tear up, even Abby herself, despite clear direction that she wasn't going to cry! ;) (pro secret: it's inevitable - I've yet to see a bride NOT tear up at a father daughter first look!)
the reception details complimented the space and added a personalized touch; her sister Hannah designed and wrote out the drink menu on an old window as well as the welcome sign on a mirror! escort cards were displayed on a huge oversized frame and the table centerpieces were low yet full of soft tones and glowing lanterns... perfection!
during cocktail hour, the abundance of natural light and casual, comfortable atmosphere of the Accelerator Space was on display with tables on wheels setup in the center of the room to allow people to move freely exploring the space and mingling. I love these tables!
last but not least, the dessert table... made up of cinnamon buns from Blue Moon Cafe, Insomnia Cookies and cupcakes from La Cakerie, it was a sweet tooth lover's dream and a perfect way to end the night! I loved how they incorporated local bakeries and dessert offerings uniquely special to them. :)
Here are some of my favorite moments from the start of their day to the last dance... enjoy!! I hope more couples embrace the real meaning of this special time in your lives, as Abby + Mike did, by surrounding yourselves with friends and family as much as possible during the big day!
Congratulations again, newlyweds! Here's wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness, warm days and lots of sweet treats along the way!
xoxo, Naomi
